What’s inside the Opa Si Pass

The Opa Si Pass is a combined ticket for the monumental complex of the Cathedral of Siena. It includes seven venues that would each cost a separate entry fee — together they tell the story of Sienese art from the 13th to the 19th century.

Cathedral (Duomo)

The 13th-century Gothic cathedral in black-and-white striped marble. Home to Nicola Pisano’s carved pulpit and sculptures by Donatello, Michelangelo and Bernini.

Piccolomini Library

Ten frescoes by Pinturicchio depicting scenes from the life of Pope Pius II — one of the best-preserved fresco cycles of the Italian Renaissance.

Crypt

Rediscovered in 1999. Contains 13th-century medieval frescoes with scenes from the life of Christ — this is also where you exchange your voucher.

Baptistery of San Giovanni

The baptismal font features works by Donatello, Lorenzo Ghiberti and Jacopo della Quercia — three of the greatest early Renaissance sculptors together in one room.

Museo dell’Opera

The Cathedral’s own museum. Highlight: Duccio di Buoninsegna’s Maestà (1308–1311), one of the most influential paintings of the Italian trecento.

Facciatone (Panorama)

Climb the façade of the unfinished “New Cathedral” for one of the finest panoramas over Siena’s red rooftops and the Tuscan countryside.

Oratory of San Bernardino

Together with the Diocesan Museum: Sienese painting from the 13th to the 19th century, including works by Sano di Pietro and Ventura Salimbeni.

What is not included

The Porta del Cielo — the guided rooftop tour of the Cathedral — is a separate ticket (21 € adult / 6 € child 7–11 / free under 7). Guided group tours and private live guides are also not included. The Opa Si Pass covers self-guided visits with the free audio-guide app.
